What’s a better way to end a busy summer day than sitting in the cool breeze under the crisp sunset? The only thing that could make it better would be sitting by a fire and roasting some hot dogs or making s’mores. It’s a simple process, as you lay some firewood, ignite it, and enjoy! But what if there were even more ways to enjoy your outdoor fireplace? Luckily, there are many ways to do so, ranging from the food you cook all the way to upgrading your fireplace!

Getting the Most Out of Your Fireplace
Once you have that beautiful fireplace installed, you need to start enjoying it! There’s nothing wrong with simply pulling up a lawn chair, getting a cold pop out, and just relaxing with a group of friends. However, if you’re in the mood for a little more party, here are some ideas to make that happen!
Hot dogs are often the first impulse when you think of cooking over a fire. And there’s nothing wrong with a hot dog cooked over an open flame. But if you’re looking to bump it up, try polish sausages, brats or fireplace meals instead. Just lay out a piece of heavy duty aluminum foil, spray it with cooking spray, put down a hamburger patty, add some sliced onions, potatoes, and carrots (slice these thinner to speed up cooking time), and seal the edges shut. Stick the packets in, not directly on, the coals of the fire, then sit back and wait. You can flip the packet a time or two if you’d like. When they’re ready, cut open the packet and enjoy! Be careful, as there will be steam when you open these.
When it comes to s’mores, don’t just settle for plain old chocolate. Set up a candy bar table and let your guests pick their flavor! Add some peanut butter under the chocolate, or just buy a peanut butter filled chocolate cup candy bar. Mint flavored candy bars taste great, too! Let your imagination soar, and come up with some tasty treats!
Let the Party Start
Now that you have the perfect fireplace, you can start the entertainment! Just turn on some music, light some tiki torches, get the fire going in your outdoor fireplace, set out the food, and get the party started!
